The Black Pearl King Oyster kit grows a hybrid Pleurotus ostreatus × eryngii strain that pushes up thick, dense, stem-heavy fruits with a savory, meaty bite — the closest thing to a true King Oyster you can grow at home. Slice the stems into medallions and sear for a scallop-like texture.
Each 10 lb commercial block is twice the size of competitor kits and yields two to four pounds of mushrooms over multiple flushes.
