Our Blue Oyster Grow Kit features the "Go To" strain — the reliable workhorse of the oyster family, a cold-weather Pleurotus ostreatus that pushes up beautiful bluish-gray clusters, brightening to silver as it matures. Each 10 lb commercial block is twice the size of competitor kits and yields two to four pounds of mushrooms over multiple flushes.
Blue Oysters are fast, forgiving, and prolific — the easiest grow kit for a first-time grower. Sauté the tender caps in olive oil for a savory, umami bite, or roast them whole. Ready to fruit within 7–14 days: cut an X in the bag, mist daily, and keep in indirect light with fresh air.
